Shemos: Do Your Best

VERSE 1
The king was mean and strong.
He told them to do wrong.
Two women heard him say.
To hurt the boys that day.
Yes they were scared, it's true.
But they knew what to do.
They chose to do what's right.
Hashem would be their light.

CHORUS
When you're scared and don't know why.
Look to Hashem way up high.
Just do what you know is right.
Even when you're filled with fright.
Do the best that you can do.
And Hashem will help you too.
He is working just for you.
Every day, His love is true.

VERSE 2
A mother hid her son.
She prayed he'd be the one.
She put him in a boat.
To keep the boy afloat.
A princess walking by.
She saw him with her eyes.
She reached out for the boy.
Her arms stretched, oh, what joy.

CHORUS
When you're scared and don't know why.
Look to Hashem way up high.
Just do what you know is right.
Even when you're filled with fright.
Do the best that you can do.
And Hashem will help you too.
He is working just for you.
Every day, His love is true.

VERSE 3
The years went by so fast.
The boy grew up at last.
A burning bush he found.
While walking on the ground.
Then Hashem spoke out loud.
His voice rose through the cloud.
Go tell them I am here.
I'll save them, have no fear.

BRIDGE
Are you scared? It's okay.
Hashem hears what you pray.
Do you feel all alone?
He won't leave you on your own.
Is it hard to be brave?
He will help, He will save.
Just reach out, try your best.
Hashem will do the rest.

CHORUS
When you're scared and don't know why.
Look to Hashem way up high.
Just do what you know is right.
Even when you're filled with fright.
Do the best that you can do.
And Hashem will help you too.
He is working just for you.
Every day, His love is true.
