Bo: Born to Fly

VERSE 1
A darkness came for six whole days.
First three, they couldn't see or gaze.
The last three days, they couldn't move.
And Hashem had a point to prove.
Hashem showed who belonged to Him.
The Jewish homes were never dim.
While Egypt froze in dark alone.
The Jews had light in every home.

CHORUS
Walk out now with your head held high.
Like an eagle, you were born to fly.
A brand-new nation, all as one.
The Jewish people had begun.
Hashem sees who you are.
He knows you and me.
Today is when we became His nation.
Today is when we became free.

VERSE 2
At midnight, screams filled up the air.
And Pharaoh finally got scared.
He said, just go, get out of here.
And take your stuff and disappear.
The Jews walked out with gold and more.
The dough was flat, they couldn't pour.
Two hundred years of being slaves.
And now they're free, Hashem still saves.

CHORUS
Walk out now with your head held high.
Like an eagle, you were born to fly.
A brand-new nation, all as one.
The Jewish people had begun.
Hashem sees who you are.
He knows you and me.
Today is when we became His nation.
Today is when we became free.

VERSE 3
And then we walked beneath the sky.
So many people marching by.
A father held his boy up tall.
He showed him, look, you see them all.
Some kids began to sing a song.
And everyone just joined along.
This is the sound when slaves are free.
Hashem made this for you and me.

BRIDGE
When you can't see how things will end.
And life seems like it just won't mend.
Remember Hashem keeps His word.
The best news that you ever heard.
He promised Avraham long ago.
And every word came true, you know.
So trust Him even in the dark.
His promises will hit their mark.

CHORUS
Walk out now with your head held high.
Like an eagle, you were born to fly.
A brand-new nation, all as one.
The Jewish people had begun.
Hashem sees who you are.
He knows you and me.
Today is when we became His nation.
Today is when we became free.
