Joanne was born in South Africa and she lived in Jerusalem for 11 years before coming to the UK. During her time in Israel she studied and subsequently worked as a student counselor at Neve Yerushalayim College for Women. On her arrival to the UK, Joanne lived in Leeds for 3 years, where her husband was Student Chaplain. Whilst in Leeds, Joanne did a counselling course at Leeds University. Joanne has been with the JLE for the past six years in her role as Director of the Women\'s Programme. Joanne is a real people person and is always willing to help in any way she can. In her spare time (when she gets any) she enjoys various sports and travelling.
