HaRav Walkin was widely regarded as one of the foremost authorities on Torah and Jewish Law in the entire New York area. A descendant of an illustrious rabbinic family, HaRav Walkin served for many years as Rosh Yeshiva (Dean) of the Ohel Simcha Yeshiva in Queens. He was considered one of the foremost disciples of many of the modern era’s greatest Torah giants including HaRav Yisroel Belsky, ztl, HaRav Dovid Feinstein, ztl, HaRav Avrohom Pam, ztl, and HaRav Shmuel Berenbaum, ztl.
